The term owl is a common name estrigiformes birds, and the families of titonídeos estrigídeos. These birds are crepuscular andnocturnal habits, and silent flight due to the structure of feathers,feeding on small mammals (mainly rodents), insects and spiders.They swallow their food whole, then vomit pellets with hair and bone fragments. Most species live in nests that are on top of trees. In the Amazon region, some species are also called murutucu.
